Laurent de Sutter is a philosopher, editor and critic. He is the author of more than twenty books translated into a dozen languages and awarded numerous prizes and scholarships. He directs the collections “Perspectives Critiques” at Presses Universitaires de France and “Theory Redux” at Polity Press, columns on La Première and directs the festival Les Rencontres Inattendues. He also teaches legal theory at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel. It has been said of him that he was the "Belgian Slavoj Zizek", a "pirate of philosophy and law" or even "the enfant terrible of contemporary French-speaking philosophy."
